The Mead Quilters Group was founded in 1997 by Barbie Edwards and friends:
“to promote appreciation and understanding of patchwork, quilting and appliqué, both traditional and modern, and other allied crafts”
thereby providing a focus for patchworkers and quilters in the area.
We meet on every third Tuesday evening of each month at 7.30 pm when We often have a Speaker on some aspect of Patchwork and Quilting, a Show and Tell or other activities of common interest to the Group.
We hold a ‘Stitching Session’ on the first Tuesday mornings, 9.45 to 12 noon.
We are affiliated to the National Quilters’ Guild and are part of the Guild’s Region 7 comprising Beds, Bucks, Herts & Northants.
Meetings are held in the WI's Mead Hall, East Lane in Wheathampstead
and hence the Group’s name.
Our activities are organised by The Committee
of which the 2022 Executive Members are:
Chair: Heather Hunt
Treasurer: Alison Williams Secretary: Carol Connett
In normal times of course; We look forward to those times returning soon!
